　　南华禅寺,座落在广东省韶关市曲江区马坝东南7公里的曹溪之畔，距韶关市区24公里，是“南宗禅法”的发祥地。相传六祖慧能在这里传授佛法37年，因而南华寺有“祖庭”之称。

　　该寺始建于南北朝梁武帝天鉴元年（公元502年），经历代修建，现有建筑面积12000平方米。有放生池、宝林门、天王宝殿、钟楼、大雄宝殿、斋堂、藏经阁、方丈室、卓锡泉（俗称九龙泉）等景观，寺内珍藏着六祖真身，千斤铜钟等历史珍贵文物。寺的周围古树繁茂，环境幽静，寺后几株高达四十米的古水松是世界上稀有的树木。山门广场曹溪门五香亭宝林门天王殿钟楼鼓楼大雄宝殿藏经楼灵照塔祖殿古木九龙泉天下宝林牌坊卓锡泉虚云和尚塔惟因和尚塔无尽庵多宝阁曹溪佛学院
